Corean's Story: Building Strength and Confidence

Corean has always been passionate about her circus performances, spending years perfecting her upper body strength for her juggling and hula-hooping acts. But as her upper body grew stronger, she began to feel like her lower body was getting left behind. She wanted more balance and better muscle definition in her legs, not just for aesthetic reasons, but to feel stronger overall. This was the start of Corean’s story toward building full-body strength.



Focusing on Balance

For Corean, the focus on upper body strength came naturally because of her circus background. But as with anyone trying to achieve overall fitness, she realized that ignoring leg workouts was creating an imbalance. Aesthetic goals aside, strong legs are critical for mobility, endurance and even injury prevention — something Corean has come to appreciate even more as she’s progressed.


The Struggle With Lower Body Workouts


The problem was that Corean just didn’t enjoy lower-body workouts. She tried doing them at home, but without much motivation, they never really stuck. She knew she needed a change of pace and a new environment to stay committed, so she searched for a local gym that felt just right. It wasn’t one of those intense, intimidating gyms with all the bulky guys. This one was relaxed, welcoming and she felt comfortable right away.


Many people find it hard to stay consistent with workouts at home because distractions are everywhere. The gym gave Corean the structure and environment she needed to focus. Finding a space where you feel comfortable is key to staying committed — and that’s exactly what she found at this gym. The positive atmosphere and the absence of judgment helped her focus on her goals without feeling out of place. Now, it’s not just about leg day, but about progressing every week and pushing herself to lift more weight. 


Corean’s Story of Finding Motivation


Although Corean had never had a personal trainer before, she decided to give it a try. Her trainer turned out to be exactly what she needed — someone to keep her motivated and accountable. This shift made a big difference, especially since Corean had never focused on strength training before. With her trainer's help and dedication to her sessions, she began noticing real progress in her legs.


When she first started, Corean could barely back squat 45 pounds, but now, less than a year later, she’s squatting 130 for eight reps. The difference in muscle definition in her legs is huge, and she’s finally starting to feel that sense of balance she aimed for between her upper and lower body. In fact, since she started back in December last year, her hip thrust has gone from 70 pounds to an impressive 150 pounds. This part of Corean’s story was a major turning point for her.


For anyone starting with strength training, progression is key. It’s about making incremental gains and celebrating small wins along the way. Corean’s dedication to consistently lifting heavier weights has been a huge factor in her progress. The structured support from her trainer made all the difference, keeping her accountable and motivated to keep pushing her limits.


Post-Workout Confidence and Strength


But what Corean loves the most isn’t just the physical results — it’s the way she feels after every workout. She’s noticed that no matter how tough the session, she always leaves the gym in a better mood. Even as little as half an hour of movement a day is enough to achieve that mood boost. 


There’s something universally uplifting about finishing a tough workout. Exercise releases endorphins, which naturally improve your mood and energy levels. For Corean, this post-workout high has become one of the reasons she keeps going back to the gym. It’s no longer just about physical transformation, but about the mental clarity and confidence that comes with pushing her body to new limits. This has helped her in her circus performances, giving her more endurance and stability on stage. 



More Than Just Muscle


Corean’s journey isn’t just about getting more defined legs or lifting heavier weights. It’s about finding the motivation to push through challenges, build strength and get out of her comfort zone.
